Technology provider NCR Corp. rebranded Silver Pro under the Aloha Brand as Aloha Cloud, giving the all-in-one cloud-based POS and restaurant management solution a fresh new look. The platform's handheld devices, friendly interface and fast funding capabilities enable restaurateurs to focus on running their restaurants, not their tech, stated Dirk Izzo, senior vice president and general manager, NCR Hospitality.
"Aloha Cloud is more than a name change," Izzo said. "Its visual interface has been reimagined for operators to servers to host and kitchen staff, who want technology that makes their jobs easier and is as simple to use as their mobile devices."
Describing Aloha Cloud as pleasing to the eye, Izzo said it uses an array of colors to visually align items and categories. This color coding makes it easier for management to train staff and for staff to deliver amazing guest experiences, he said.
Aloha has been a trusted brand known for reliability, speed and usability for 30 years, Izzo stated, adding that recent enhancements to the Aloha Cloud platform, such as contactless ordering and robust email marketing and loyalty tools, are designed to improve the guest experience.
Android-based Aloha Cloud runs natively on NCR hardware and is offered to customers as a service. The solution, Izzo noted, runs on both fixed and handheld devices, making it easy for staff to take orders and payments anywhere in the restaurant—from drive-through to tableside to the checkout counter.
Restaurants can manage their businesses from anywhere with Aloha Cloud by remotely accessing cloud-based configuration, management and back-office tools to make quick menu, pricing and staff updates, Izzo stated. Brands can also save time by creating menu items at the company level and applying them to each location to drive consistency in menus, he noted.
