Increase profits with advanced portfolio management

Product: MyPortfolio
Company: Electronic Merchant Systems

Electronic Merchant Systems, a provider of payment processing services, expanded MyPortfolio, a secure agent portal and technology suite designed to help ISOs and merchant level salespeople (MLS) manage the entire sales process. MyPortfolio provides users with a single-access view of the customer lifecycle, from acquiring new merchants to creating customized reports for subagents and partners, EMS representatives stated.

"MyPortfolio will help you streamline the complete lifecycle for managing portfolios, both for individual agents and offices with sub-agents," said Matt Shepard, executive vice president, agent channel at EMS. "The key to agents' success is the support that acquirers give them. We've created a total back-office tool to improve and simplify merchant portfolio management."

MyPortfolio has garnered positive reviews from MLSs and sub-ISOs, Shepard noted. "They appreciate MyPortfolio's transparency and dynamic tools, especially the multitier commission feature that simplifies managing portfolios delivered through sub-agents," he said. "EMS provides complete and current data; we understand transparency is critical to success."

Ready-made toolkit

ISOs can use MyPortfolio's white-label option to provide branded, advanced tools to sub-agents in a reliable, user-friendly format. Branding within MyPortfolio increases brand visibility among an ISO's sales teams. When salespeople access the agent portal to see their accounts or residuals, they will see the sub-ISO company name and brand and not the Super ISO, Shepard stated.

The company pointed out additional MyPortfolio benefits as follows:

  • Reliable, quality tools to leverage: Leveraging technology developed and maintained by a Super ISO will build and sustain a positive brand perception among team members. Sub-agents will enjoy access to a portal that is both reliable and user-friendly.
  • Time and money savings: Having a ready-made, high-quality agent portal can eliminate the costly, time-consuming process of developing homegrown systems or renting a third-party solution. EMS manages all troubleshooting and continuously updates MyPortfolio.
  • Dynamic reporting: Dynamic reporting tools enable agents to audit residuals down to the penny and view the status of customer service tickets in real time. Configurable hierarchies and permission levels facilitate residual audits and service tracking by office or individual agent.

Agent support, expedited funding

EMS University, also available through MyPortfolio, is an online resource where agents can find current, updated paperwork and a variety of marketing materials and support. Monthly EMS webinars on products and services are stored on the portal. Additional tools include self-paced learning modules, sales slicks, training materials and newsletters.

"We have a full marketing department available to agents that can design brochures, create branded material and order giveaways for tradeshows," Shepard said. "Agents no longer have to store virtual brochures; they can get our most up-to-date collateral from EMS University."

The EMS daily residual program is designed to take the wait out of receiving residual payments. Participating agents receive detailed residual reports and expedited funding. This budget-friendly arrangement can help smooth out the income cycle, especially for agents coming into the industry, Shepard stated.

"Whether you want to invest, pay your sub-agents weekly, or use your daily residuals to cover an unexpected bill, you're in control of your money," he said. "Unanticipated expenses happen, and with daily residuals, you don't have to struggle as you wait to receive money that's rightfully yours." end of article
