NMI, a global payments technology provider, enhanced its Full Commerce Enablement Platform to help ISOs and ISVs integrate their ideal payments solution, end to end, from sign up to payments acceptance, the company stated. The platform allows NMI to create the ideal offering for an ISOs/ISVs client, whether an out-of-the box setup or a full-stack, verticalized payment processing solution, according to Kate Hampton, chief strategy officer at NMI.

"NMI's technology makes it easy for its ISO and ISV partners to sign up, onboard and manage their merchants, while also enabling them to embed a wide range of payment options, such as ecommerce, in-store, mobile and unattended payments into their offering," she said. "Our modular and flexible technology goes beyond just turning payments on, and gives our partners the ability to evolve, expand and better monetize their solutions as their business scales."

Hampton pointed out that white-label capabilities enable partners to deliver a seamless merchant and end-customer experience by fully branding modular offerings to shape solutions when creating full-stack commerce offerings or integrating select components.

Freedom to choose

The Full Commerce Enablement platform's modularity affords partners the freedom to choose from over 200 payment processor integrations, more than 125 shopping carts and a variety of payment devices, Hampton stated, adding that whatever an ISO or ISV's merchant wants to use, NMI most likely supports it, as the company's payment acceptance solutions are available across all channels: online, in-store, mobile and unattended.

Following are additional platform options Hampton described:

  • Merchant onboarding and management tools: The company's Agreement Express automated underwriting tool facilitates nimble customer onboarding, reducing ongoing risk. In addition, the IRIS CRM merchant services management tool is designed to maximize portfolio growth by shortening sales and customer onboarding cycles.
  • Multiple MID capabilities: NMI helps partners board and manage multiple MIDs on a single payment gateway account, which consolidates reporting, and streamlines location management by allowing merchants to manage multiple business lines while complying with processing and reporting requirements.
  • Marketplace apps: NMI partners have access to a variety of trusted third-party value-added services designed to reduce merchant attrition and drive new recurring revenue streams.

Sales channel partner benefits

Reflecting on the highly competitive, constantly evolving payments ecosystem, Hampton emphasized that ISOs, agents and sales channel partners have to ask themselves two fundamental questions to stay up-to-date and relevant: How can I be successful today? And what will it take to be successful tomorrow?

"NMI's Full Commerce Enablement platform can help participants stay agile in the ever-changing payments space by providing tools their merchants need," Hampton said. "Instant onboarding, automated sub-merchant creation and management and accepting payments across all channels from a single platform are just a few examples." With the industry-wide shift toward software-led payments, NMI has expanded its solutions within the Full Commerce Enablement platform beyond just payments, Hampton stated. The platform, she pointed out, includes a fully customizable merchant application offering with automated underwriting tools, digital risk scoring and ongoing risk management and agile onboarding to acquirer platforms for sales channel partners.

With these tools in hand, partners can recruit new merchants quickly and cut onboarding and underwriting time from hours or days to minutes, especially with partners who already use NMI solutions, Hampton stated. While no one can predict the future, especially when it comes to payments, she suggested that ISOs, agents and sales partners can leverage NMI's tools to build a future-proof business.
