Free POS app expands with growing business

Product: talech by EPNA
Company: EPNA

Electronic Processing of NA LLC launched talech by EPNA, a free mobile app with payment processing and business management capabilities. The solution enables all types of merchants, from startups to large enterprises, to accept payments and run their businesses from the comfort and security of their smartphones and connected devices, the company stated.

Esther Pochron, chief sales and marketing officer at EPNA, observed that merchants appreciate the app's expedited settlement. "EPNA offers true daily funding, enabling merchants to receive their settled batch deposits seven days a week, including holidays, providing that the merchant's deposit account is at a financial institution that participates in the RTP Network," she said. Pochron noted that the mobile POS app can help merchants reduce overhead and provide more POS payment options, and that seasonal and low-volume merchants, who use the app infrequently, can derive multiple benefits without purchasing standalone POS equipment or paying monthly subscription fees.

Security, ease of use

Pochron pointed out that talech by EPNA is easy to deploy and use. Merchants can download the mobile app onto a smartphone or tablet and pair with a Bluetooth card reader peripheral. They can also lock the app by using optional biometric authentication tools. After a brief orientation and training call with EPNA, they can start taking their first transactions, she stated.

Participating merchants can use the app to accept all forms of payments, including major credit and debit cards and Android and iOS mobile wallet schemes. Users can print receipts via a Bluetooth printer or send paperless receipts via SMS text and email. They can also customize receipts with multilevel tax itemization, cash discounts and service charges.

The app supports split tabs and can switch to dark mode to make the display easy to view in low-lit, ambient settings. The app can be used in a variety of merchant environments, from open air marketplaces and mobile delivery services to professional workplaces that accept card payments on portable tablets and devices, according to company representatives.

Built to last

The talech technology suite offers merchants a range of cloud-based technologies and vertically focused bundles. Bundles can be further customized for specific industries and unique business requirements, EPNA representatives noted. Available packages include the following:

  • Basic POS: Recommended for startup or seasonal businesses, this solution enables users to organize customer orders and product inventories. Reporting features help track sales and peak sales cycles. The app works on a mobile payment device and is ideal for farmer's markets, fairs and pop-up stores.
  • Simple POS: This solution enables growing businesses to automate inventory tracking to ensure that popular items are available. Its customer analytics helps merchants understand customer behavior and preferences. The solution works with a mobile smart device and optional charging sleeve and is a good fit for gift shops and small boutiques.
  • Standard POS: Midsize enterprises can use the full-featured app to create a customized micro site that is integrated with the POS. Additional capabilities include time and attendance, creating instant discounts and offers, and simplifying customer returns to keep inventory levels accurate. It works on a smart device or tablet with optional cash drawer and is recommended for midsize brick-and-mortar retailers.
  • Premium POS: This solution, ideal for large enterprises managing in-store traffic, offers appointment setting tools and instant alerts when popular inventory items are running low. It works on a smart device or tablet with optional cash drawer and scanner and is optimal for retail chains and multilocation merchants.

"EPNA partners and agents can confidently deploy the talech mobile app to their merchants, knowing that it has the flexibility to scale as they grow their businesses," Pochron added. end of article
