Accelerate fraud investigations with AI-assisted management

INETCO introduced INETCO BullzAI Investigate, an AI-assisted fraud investigation module designed to help financial institutions and payment service providers speed fraud case reviews while maintaining human oversight of decision-making.

The new module extends the INETCO BullzAI platform with agentic AI capabilities that automate time-consuming investigative tasks, including gathering transaction data, analyzing behavioral patterns, triaging alerts and producing explainable risk scores for fraud analysts.

According to INETCO, the launch addresses growing operational challenges as fraud teams contend with increasingly sophisticated payment fraud, AI-driven cyber threats and rising volumes of alerts. By automating routine investigative work, the company said, analysts can focus more attention on high-risk cases while reducing false positives and investigation backlogs.

INETCO BullzAI Investigate is powered by a proprietary small language model deployed on-premise, allowing sensitive transaction data to remain within a customer's environment. The company stated the approach helps financial institutions meet data privacy, residency and regulatory requirements while benefiting from AI-assisted analysis.

The platform combines explainable AI, adaptive machine learning and human-in-the-loop supervision. As analysts review cases, their decisions continuously refine the system, enabling recommendations to improve over time while keeping investigators in control of final decisions.

"INETCO BullzAI Investigate gives banks and payment service providers an intelligent way to scale the productivity of their fraud operations, reduce false positives and prioritize high-risk cases," said Ugan Naidoo, chief technology officer of INETCO. "Rather than replacing analysts, INETCO BullzAI Investigate serves as an intelligent partner that works continuously behind the scenes."

INETCO cited a recent Chartis Research report highlighting a deployment of the BullzAI platform at a leading South African bank. According to the report, the platform improved fraud detection accuracy, reduced operational noise and helped fraud teams respond more effectively to emerging threats.

Early performance results reported by INETCO show the new module can reduce fraud investigation times from 10 to 30 minutes to approximately 20 seconds, cutting investigation time by 97 percent to 99 percent. The company also noted the platform enables reviews up to 90 times faster while delivering recommendation precision of approximately 95 percent. For more information, visit inetco.com. End of Story
