Web Commerce Arrangement is Shocking

Everyone is talking about big-business commerce on the Web. Now there's a big-bucks example proponents can point to. Beginning in the second quarter of 1997, more than 250 electric utilities plan to conduct $25 billion to $50 billion worth of business per year with each other over the Internet. The utilities call their initiative the Open Access Same Time Information Systems (OASIS).
