Quickly build and scale your ISV with low-code platform

Mendix, a low-code platform used by more than 4,000 enterprises in 46 countries, created an independent software vendor (ISV) program designed to help organizations build and accelerate their software businesses. The program is available for partners across all industries and at all stages of development, according to Jethro Borsje, chief ecosystem solutions officer at Mendix.

“Our ISV program allows participants to create solutions that target each industry’s unique needs and pain points using their deep industry expertise, be it in banking, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, retail, or the public sector,” he said, adding the program includes additional support for startup enterprises.

Within the ISV program, the company offers the Mendix ISV Startup Program, which enables early stage companies to build and monetize a software business, Borsje stated. The program provides revenue sharing, he added, to help startups kick-start their go-to-market journey, and Mendix will waive its revenue share for a year after they launch their solution.

Three-fold benefits

Borsje further noted that all types of companies can leverage the Mendix ISV program to accelerate revenue growth while adding new features quickly and easily. The program’s native mobile app capabilities can help participating ISVs stay ahead of competitors by rapidly iterating full-code applications that leverage best-in-class security, he stated. Mendix’s ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27018 certifications alleviate concerns about customer data security, he added, complementing the platform’s integrated DevOps and single-click deployment.

Borsje additionally described how the program helps ISVs build, market and sell their unique solutions:

  • Build: Designed to support the entire ISV lifecycle, the platform provides access to free development licenses, including Data Hub, to ISVs as they design and develop solutions that are backed by technical support, solution review and certification to ensure solutions are secure and scalable.

  • Market: Supported by a global marketing team, the platform helps ISVs stay on brand while accelerating their go-to-market strategies through social media messaging, blog posts and press releases. These assets amplify brand messaging, exposing solutions to the global Mendix community via the company’s solutions gallery and marketplace, helping ISVs earn recognition and credibility as part of the Mendix ISV Program.
  • Sell: Monetized by the Mendix platform’s revenue sharing model, the program allows ISVs to set their own pricing and business models while having access to guidance and best practices to help establish ideal business and go-to-market models. Additional educational opportunities include access to exclusive webinars and partner forums that provide further business insights.
