Systems East Inc., established in 1981 and based in Syracuse, N.Y., created Xpress-pay, an electronic payments solution designed to securely process online, mobile and touch-tone phone payments. The company, which specializes in municipal finance and collections, saw a need to modernize payments for retailers, municipalities and various vertical industries. "Xpress-pay excels in emerging markets by creating customized payments solutions that fit our commercial clients' unique needs," said Gary DeBaise, Xpress-pay Account Representative.
According to the company, consumers can use to Xpress-pay's mobile wallet on smartphone browsers to initiate payment transactions without exposing cardholder data or downloading an application. Participating merchants receive immediate, PCI-compliant payments. The mobile wallet supports quick response codes, donations, shopping carts, one-touch checkout and recurring payments. It can be integrated with POS systems to securely connect smartphones to the POS to complete a payment. It is also compatible with third-party applications.
Merchants can use Xpress-pay's secure ePayment portal for bill presentment with built-in interest calculation to ensure accuracy. They can accept online bill payments made by checks, credit and debit cards. The site supports card readers for in-person payments, Xpress-pay noted.
Visitors can pay any enrolled business by selecting the state, organization and bill type. They can also enroll in recurring payments and print receipts. A customizable touchtone phone payment solution enables merchants to securely interact with unbanked and under-banked customers. The solution includes custom and bilingual scripts. Dial-in demos of the interactive voice response solution are available, as well.
The company prides itself on providing administrators with the necessary tools to manage accounts and billing. Xpress-pay can create and maintain interest formulas and permission levels, add bill types and specify options related to search fields and guidance to visitors.
Private-label versions of Xpress-pay that include customized images and colors are also available. Merchants with existing customer portals can use Xpress-pay's real-time integration to add a branded and secure payment component to their existing site.
