Online shopping up for holiday season 2011
Preliminary numbers are in for the year-end shopping season, and they indicate strong sales for the 2011 holiday season, especially in the e-commerce sphere. Average ticket size is down a bit (8 percent), but overall sales and transaction numbers are up (25 and 36 percent, respectively).
