Accelerate fraud defense with conversational AI
DataVisor introduced Vera, a conversational AI agent suite designed to help financial institutions combat fraud and anti-money laundering threats through plain-language commands and automated workflow execution.
The company describes Vera as the first suite of conversational AI agents built specifically for financial crime operations. The platform is intended to help fraud and compliance teams move more quickly from identifying threats to deploying countermeasures by replacing manual processes with AI-driven automation across the fraud and AML lifecycle.
According to DataVisor, the launch comes as financial institutions face mounting pressure from increasingly sophisticated AI-enabled attacks.
The company's 2026 Fraud & AML Executive Report found that only 23 percent of organizations surveyed believe they have the infrastructure needed to combat AI-driven fraud effectively, while 74 percent of leaders identified AI-powered attacks as a major threat.
Vera's conversational interface allows fraud and compliance teams to issue instructions in natural language while AI agents execute actions throughout the platform. DataVisor said the system is designed to streamline fraud strategy design, optimization, investigation and regulatory reporting while maintaining governance controls such as audit trails, human approvals and rollback capabilities.
Among the platform's capabilities are AI-assisted detection strategy creation, automated optimization of fraud thresholds and rules, investigation support and automatic generation of suspicious activity report narratives.
DataVisor said the technology combines conversational AI with unsupervised machine learning to help institutions identify emerging fraud patterns and adapt defenses proactively.
The company reported that early customer implementations have shown measurable operational improvements. According to DataVisor, organizations using Vera increased detection coverage by two to three times, reduced false positives by more than 40 percent and shortened investigation times by as much as 20 to 30 times. Regulatory reporting preparation times reportedly declined by more than 90 percent.
Yinglian Xie, CEO and co-founder of DataVisor, affirmed that Vera is designed to help financial institutions outpace AI-driven attackers by enabling faster and more intelligent fraud response capabilities.
DataVisor added that the platform supports banks, credit unions, fintechs, marketplaces and digital payment organizations processing billions of transactions annually. For further details, please see www.datavisor.com.
