Epson, a provider of commercial and industrial printing and manufacturing solutions, enhanced its line of modern check scanners and receipt printers, created to drive bank branch innovation and modernize the customer experience. Designed for ease of use, the new scanners and printers include high-speed USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity, stated Rahn Rampton, product manager at Epson America Inc.

"Epson is dedicated to delivering cost-effective, innovative, market-leading products backed by world-class service and support." Rampton went on to say that Epson solutions have been shown to help businesses maximize uptime by reducing errors, and its reliability and ease of use have made the solution a popular choice among small to midsize merchants, credit unions and financial institutions.

Epson's TM-S10011, the latest addition to its CaptureOne series, is a compact, high-performance check scanner that is competitively priced and easy to use, the company stated. In addition to delivering all of the advantages of remote deposit capture to small and midsize merchants and financial institutions, company representatives noted, the TM-S10011 combines a high MICR read rate with a high-quality image scanner and provides the same reliability and innovative features as Epson's original CaptureOne scanner.
The company also pointed out that the production-ready TM-S1000 Check Scanner can read MICRs with 99.9 percent accuracy and is available in single feed, 30, 60 and 90 check-per-minute throughput rates, all of which come standard with a 100-check document feeder. The device meets the electronic endorsement standard, the company added, and supports most Microsoft operating systems. The TM-S100 includes a built-in franker, double check detector, two-pocket support and two-year warranty.
The TM-S2000II check scanner, when combined with a compact TM-T70II printer, offers a multifunction teller device with an ultra-small footprint that supports an array of printing options, including cashier's check and endorsement printing, the company stated, noting that the TM-T70II printer delivers fast, reliable printing and all-front access for ease of use. The company additionally cited the following additional features and benefits: Multifunctional, front-loading printer: Flexible configurability supports thermal and inkjet receipt printing and prints up to 16 lines on areas up to two inches for cashier's checks, slip sheets, endorsements and marketing graphics. Extended warranty: A two-year limited warranty is backed by a dedicated technical resource team.
Flexible configurations: Multiple configuration options include placing the printer under the counter or combining it with other TM-S2000II series of products for stackable vertical deployment. Also, the fast-printing device supports dual interfaces.
Rampton additionally noted the company demonstrated its newest multifunction devices at the Future Branches conference, held in Austin, Texas, Nov. 28 to 30, 2023. The following printers were featured:
