Product: Invoice Collection
Company: dLocal
dLocal, a technology-first payments platform enabling global enterprise merchants to connect with consumers in emerging markets worldwide, added an invoice collection feature to its product technology suite. Designed to support the B2B payment process from start to finish, Invoice Collection is designed to enable payment in local currencies, the company stated.
Federico Mazzoli, vice president of product at dLocal, described Invoice Collection as a perfect complement to the company's no-code tools. In addition to its ability to handle the unique taxes of each country, he noted, dLocal's payment infrastructure enables merchants to serve a diverse customer base by allowing customers to pay invoices in their preferred local currencies rather than remitting invoice payments in U.S. dollars as they typically do.
"By providing a holistic end-to-end payment solution, we are enabling accounts receivable teams to manage payments in more than 40 complex countries from one single place," Mazzoli said.
Mazzoli further noted that processing payments and expatriating funds in emerging markets can be challenging and complex due to local regulations, market instability and volatility, and currency fluctuations. The dLocal Invoice Collection suite solves the complexity of B2B payments by enabling merchants to access dLocal's infrastructure, where they can easily navigate the complex world of cross-border B2B payments, he noted.
dLocal's platform supports different payment methods and foreign exchange markets, enabling merchants to manage currency volatility, transact using local payment options, comply with regulations, and ensure prompt and efficient processing, expatriation and settlement of funds. Invoice Collection allows merchants' end customers to choose local currency while dLocal seamlessly transfers funds to a merchant's currency of origin, he added.
Mazzoli went on to say that dLocal assists all departments involved with transactions by offering invoice payment support, not just payments. The addition of Invoice Collection is an important update that he noted will assist merchants' finance, reconciliations, and accounts receivable departments from a single platform, making invoice collection as smooth as possible and still providing each department and user with a specific access cut out for their needs.
dLocal representatives noted that dLocal Invoice Collection is readily available and can be deployed immediately, with no need for coding. In addition, they noted that merchant acquirers and service providers can leverage the tool to create customized workflows.
The new product allows the payment to be merchant-initiated or customer initiated, which enables global enterprises to effortlessly collect payments from emerging-market customers in their local currencies. Additional features and benefits include the following:
Invoice Collection offers dynamic FX conversion, allowing invoices issued in USD amounts to be converted to local currency, making it easier for customers to make payments. There are no transfer limits, enabling customers to make payments of any amount permitted by their own home banking.
dLocal's Invoice Collection can be used immediately, with no need for coding. However, there is an option to create a customized workflow. Invoice Collection also allows the payment to be merchant or customer-initiated, allowing global enterprises to effortlessly collect payments throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
By offering invoice payment support, dLocal's Invoice Collection gives you the ability to collect receivables in 40+ emerging markets from one single place and a unified reporting system, without any technical effort.
Invoice Collection helps enterprises simplify cross-border payments in emerging markets by meeting regulatory requirements and solving for currency fluctuations that can hinder ability to move capital and helping companies grow and scale globally.
