Automate, expand church donations with advanced tech

Product: Assured Payments
Company: Pushpay

Pushpay, a payments and engagement solutions provider for mission-driven organizations, added two solutions, Everygift and Engiven, to its proprietary Assured Payments technology suite. Everygift is an automated system designed to help churches reduce failed payments, increase payment reliability and grow generosity, and Engiven is a leading cryptocurrency donation platform, the company stated.

Molly Matthews, Pushpay CEO, noted that these solutions reflect the company's commitment to delivering secure and reliable solutions to churches and their communities. "Acts of generosity, and initiating a financial gift in particular, can be incredibly personal and ceremonial gestures that hold deep meaning for donors," she said in a statement. "We understand the importance generosity plays in aiding the Church to further its mission."

Matthews pointed out that Everygift was developed out of Pushpay's desire to not let anything come between a church and its donors' desire to give. Pushpay has pioneered online giving technology to enable generosity for churches, she added, and to tailor donation methods for technically savvy churchgoers.

Tech-driven giving

Pushpay provides a donor management system, including donor tools, finance tools and a custom community app, a church management system (ChMS), and video streaming solutions to the faith sector, nonprofit organizations and education providers located predominantly in the United States and other jurisdictions.

The company's leading solutions are designed to simplify engagement, payments and administration, according to Pushpay representatives, who added that these technologies enable customers and partners to increase participation and build stronger relationships with their communities.

Pushpay representatives also noted that the company uses Assured Payments, an exclusive, patented technology designed to ensure that every gift is captured and processed accurately, even when problems occur with a third-party financial service provider's infrastructure. The company's internal research shows the combined features behind Everygift contributed to more than $213.5 million in additional impact for church donations in 2022.

Everygift platform

The new Everygift suite combines new and existing features to deliver confidence that attempted gifts are received reliably and accurately, which honors donors' intentions to make a greater impact on their communities and houses of worship and to help ensure that no desired gift is lost or forgotten, the company stated.

To further grow donations, the Everygift suite also uses machine learning within its patent-pending Recurring Suggestions technology, which helps identify patterns and suggests personalized recurring gift pledges that have been shown to increase overall giving. Additional recently added features include Failed Payment Recovery and Pledge with Recurring.

Cryptocurrency donations

Pushpay's new partnership with cryptocurrency provider Engiven will enable organizations to expand payment choices to parishioners and donors by offering cryptocurrency options. Pushpay customers can receive a free cryptocurrency account to accept and manage their crypto donations, the company stated, adding that crypto payments will be automatically exchanged for U.S. dollars and provided for deposit into their local bank accounts without additional costs or administrative processes.

Pushpay further noted that Engiven is a leading provider of complex giving solutions to public charities, faith-based organizations, universities, financial institutions and giving platforms. The Engiven donation platform and developer tools enable highly secure and automated cryptocurrency and stock giving methodologies which help organizations maximize their giving opportunities, Pushpay added. Engiven has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 compliance certification and serves clients in the United States and abroad.

James Lawrence, co-founder and CEO of Engiven, said the partnership with Pushpay will take his company to a new level by introducing crypto giving solutions to thousands of ministries and customers. "Engiven is committed to providing the local church with technologies that improve their growth and missional impact through generosity," he said. "We're incredibly excited to work alongside the talented and dedicated team at Pushpay." end of article
