ETA plans more virtual events in 2021
Throughout 2020, the Electronic Transactions Association has hosted a range of interactive events designed to bring together a diverse cohort of payments industry stakeholders. These digital offerings help the payments ecosystem stay informed, gain new insights, and explore the latest emerging trends and technologies, according to event organizers.
Following is an overview of upcoming events:
- Educational panel: On Feb. 5, 2021, ETA University will explore emerging economic, business and policy trends with industry experts. Panelists will share insights on industry basics, mobile payments, faster payments, privacy, data aggregation, helping the underserved, online small business lending and more. While the event is not open to members of the press, policymakers who are new to payments and seasoned professionals who want to expand their knowledge are welcome to attend. - Voice of payments: People shaping policy: This virtual series, available to ETA members, is designed to facilitate discussions among ETA members and policymakers about the latest trends in payments technology from a variety of perspectives and areas of expertise. Each event generally lasts 1/2 hour. For additional information and questions, contact Jeff Patchen at jpatchen@electran.org.
- ETA spotlight calls: This conference call series for ETA members shares insights from industry leaders on key policy issues facing the payments industry. The program enables members to hear directly from subject-matter experts on emerging trends and public policy. Through these discussions, ETA members can identify related risks and opportunities as well as potential impact of these policies to their businesses. ETA Spotlight Calls generally last 1/2 hour. - Webinars: ETA webinars offer original, essential and unbiased information about the payments technology industry. These live, on-demand virtual events provide interactive and media-rich presentations on current industry trends in the industry. The webinars typically run between one and two hours and can be viewed from a web browser.
