Product: Forte Checkout

Forte Payment Systems, a provider of scalable enterprise-class payment processing and risk management solutions for public, private and government organizations since 1998, introduced Forte Checkout during the Transact 14: Powered by ETA conference.

The company said the Forte Checkout platform is a third-generation product that delivers a comprehensive set of online payment acceptance tools for e-commerce merchants, which can be integrated with existing applications where online payment capabilities or security may be lacking. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Level 1 compliant platform provides tokenization of sensitive payment data, and it authenticates users to protect merchants, Forte added.

In addition to its checkout capabilities, Forte Checkout can be configured to operate in e-wallet mode. "A real benefit, e-wallet mode allows payers to save their address and payment information for a streamlined checkout process when making future payments," the company stated. "This empowers customers and saves merchants both time and money, as they don't have to manage or update their customer's payment information." Additional benefits Forte listed for Forte Checkout include:

Other features in the dual-facing platform permit merchants and customers to process transactions. Customers may also instantly update address and payment data as an added convenience for repeat visits or where recurring payments are involved. Advanced features include granular amount settings that allow merchants to specify an amount or range the customer is prompted to pay. Merchants also have full control of data collected when setting up the online payment form and the program guards against redirects to prevent cart abandonment.

Another benefit in working with Forte Payment is they provide a virtual terminal with every new account opened. For ISOs and merchant level salespeople, Forte's Integrated Partner Program offers revenue share opportunities, immediate access to its application programming interface, a sandbox test environment, and integration and customer service support.
