NMI, a global payment solutions provider, added NMI Payments to its suite of embedded payments solutions for software companies, ISOs and payment professionals. Partners can integrate the platform into existing applications and use it to manage the full merchant and client payment life-cycle, the company stated. Vijay Sondhi, CEO of NMI, described NMI Payments as a flexible, modular platform that NMI partners from across the payments ecosystem can customize. Consistent with the company's mission, he added, the platform helps provide capabilities from sign-up to pay-out in minutes.

Sondhi further noted that NMI Payments includes lead management, underwriting, direct onboarding to processors, a payment gateway that supports multiple payment types and payment extensions, and management and reporting capabilities. The all-in-one solution, with payment gateway, merchant management and merchant acquiring modules, allows software vendors and ISOs to focus on priorities by making multiple tasks available in a single integrated payment platform, he added.
Partners can choose from a variety of processors and shopping cart options, all of which are embedded directly into partner applications, NMI noted, adding that NMI Payments is designed quickly to scale as business needs evolve and offers white-label or embedded payments options that give partners full control over brands and products.
The comprehensive, customizable platform can help participating organizations get up to speed quickly while sharing in net payment revenues, NMI representatives stated. Among its features and benefits they mentioned is its ability to be embedded seamlessly within partners' technology stacks, offering modular solutions for a solid yet flexible infrastructure that expedites and streamlines payments integration. Designed for frictionless payments, NMI Payments allows consumers to pay wherever and however they want—online, in-store, in-app, mobile and unattended—securely, easily and reliably, leveraging NMI's feature-rich payment gateway, NMI stated.
Created with developers in mind, NMI Payments also includes a simple set of APIs, SDKs and a developer portal with essential tools, code samples and reference materials to provide everything a developer needs to quickly integrate payments into software applications, company representatives noted. The new developer portal is at docs.nmi.dev.
Commenting on challenges facing ISOs today, Sondhi said that some of the biggest pain points for ISOs are complicated processes that make payments, processing and onboarding difficult to set up and cost critical time and money. NMI solves for these issues by helping ISOs start accepting payments quickly and creating more value by supporting everything from signups and underwriting to payment processing, he added.
"With NMI Payments, an embedded or white-label solution, ISOs and software vendors "can choose from a variety of processors and shopping cart options that are embedded directly into their applications," Sondhi said. "This platform was also built to scale as business needs evolve as NMI partners can adjust these capabilities based on their merchants' needs."
Sondhi went on to say that NMI recently strengthened its executive team by appointing new leaders to oversee the company's talent, culture and technology.
