MBNCARD celebrates second dual pricing patent

New U.S. patent reinforces MBNCARD’s connection to the original dual pricing model

MBNCARD Inc. is celebrating another milestone in the evolution of dual pricing following the issuance of a second U.S. patent to Jerry Cain, inventor and patent holder of dual pricing and founder and CEO of MBNCARD.

Newly issued U.S. Patent No. 12,700,015 follows U.S. Patent No. 12,112,346, further defining the intellectual property behind the original dual pricing model offered by MBNCARD.

“This achievement means more to me and my team than just securing another patent,” Cain said. “It reflects our ongoing commitment to provide merchants and their customers with clarity, choice and control at the point of sale.”

From novel idea to industry standard

Cain noted that innovation is not a one-and-done event but a continuous evolution that aligns with regulatory developments and merchant and consumer preferences.

When Cain originally introduced dual pricing, processing costs were pressuring merchant margins. By clearly displaying an original price and a discounted price for customers who chose to pay with cash, dual pricing gave merchants a more transparent way to manage card acceptance costs and provide customers with more checkout options.

Today, versions of dual pricing can be found throughout the merchant services industry. Widespread adoption has demonstrated the value of the model Cain pioneered, but there is still only one original. MBNCARD brings that original model to the merchant services community, adapting and refining its technology, supporting its partners and helping preserve the transparency and consistency that have made dual pricing a national bestseller.

Direct from the source

MBNCARD has been closely connected to dual pricing from its earliest days. Led by Cain, the company combines firsthand knowledge of the original model with the technology, industry experience and resources to help ISOs and merchant level salespeople (MLSs) build their businesses around it.

For partners, that connection creates a compelling story to bring to merchants. Instead of offering another version of dual pricing, they can work with MBNCARD and go directly to the source.

The value proposition extends beyond dual pricing. MBNCARD provides partners with multiple processing platforms, transparent account visibility, competitive commission opportunities, portfolio buyout options, underwriting access and an expanding library of training resources.

Together, these capabilities give ISOs and MLSs tools to acquire merchants, strengthen relationships and build long-term portfolio value around a proven pricing model.

Innovation keeps moving

A second patent does not close the book on Cain’s innovation. It opens another chapter. With U.S. Patent Nos. 12,112,346 and 12,700,015, Cain continues to develop and protect the intellectual property behind dual pricing while MBNCARD brings the original model and its benefits to the payments marketplace.

Merchants want technology that works. Partners want solutions they can build businesses around. Both benefit from the experience and stability of working with MBNCARD, led by the inventor and patent holder of dual pricing.

Others may offer dual pricing. MBNCARD offers something more: a direct connection to its source. Partner with MBNCARD and bring the original dual pricing model to the merchants you serve.
