THERA LAUNCHES THERA REWARDS

First Loyalty Program to Offer Points On Payroll

NEW YORK, June 16, 2026 — Thera, a leading payroll and finance platform, has announced the launch of Thera Rewards, a first of its kind loyalty program that lets businesses earn reward points on their payroll spend. Businesses using Thera for payroll will earn 1 point per dollar processed with no expirations. The program is live and prospective customers can learn more at Thera Rewards.

Thera Rewards works by offering:

One Point Per Dollar: Thera customers will earn 1 point per $1 of payroll processed on the platform. Points never expire and they roll over indefinitely.

Points Without Cards: Historically, earning rewards on payroll required expensive credit card workarounds and added fees. Thera Rewards eliminates that complexity by enabling businesses to earn points directly on payroll with no card surcharges or third-party processors.

Redemption Options: Points can be redeemed for flights, hotels, cash back, gift cards, or applied directly to a company’s Thera invoice.

“For most companies, payroll is the single largest recurring expense on their P&L statements,” said Akhil Reddy, CEO and Founder of Thera. “For decades, payroll has been locked out of the rewards economy. Thera Rewards changes that as the first and only payroll platform that earns points on every dollar of payroll processed.”

Loyalty programs are now among the most valuable assets in modern business. During the pandemic, the three largest U.S. airlines collectively raised more than $25 billion in financing against their loyalty programs alone while startups, such as Bilt, have grown by offering reward points on rent – the largest recurring consumer expense. Thera Rewards extends that proven economic model to payroll, the largest recurring line item on many company expense reports.

"Moving to Thera was one of the best decisions we could have made. It saved us time, money, and allowed us to focus on growing the business," said Bryan DiGiorgio, CEO of 1840 & Company.

“I’ve spent years optimizing points across cards, flights, and travel, but payroll was always the missing piece,” said Michael Houck, Founder of Megaphone Studio. “Thera is the first platform that actually made payroll rewarding, and it fits directly into how we already operate.”
