PCI Security Standards Council Appoints Brazil Advisory Board for 2026-2027

PCI SSC Regional Engagement Board Taps 34 Leading Companies in Brazil to Drive Education and Awareness of Standards and Best Practices for Securing Payment Data

SAO PAULO, Brazil, 28 January 2026 — Today the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) announced a new roster of 34 Brazilian payments leaders to serve on its 2026-2027 Brazil Regional Engagement Board.

Board members act as advisors to the Council on payment security issues and challenges in the region, and as ambassadors for helping increase education and awareness of standards and best practices for securing payment data.

The Board will meet regularly throughout the year to discuss payment data security issues, trends, and market changes. Its key priorities in 2026-2027 include:

Awareness of the PCI Standards: Continue supporting adoption of all PCI security standards, requirements and processes, while gathering valuable feedback from local organizations.

Collaboration: Facilitate the growth of Participating Organizations in Brazil and throughout the region through active engagement and encourage increased participation in PCI SSC events like the annual Community Meetings and training courses.

Strategic Market Understanding: Identify regional market trends, evolving payment security initiatives, and technologies to ensure PCI SSC effectively supports unique challenges in the region.
