Kurv Reorganizes Sales and Embedded Payments Leadership for SMB and ISV Growth

CLEVELAND, January 6, 2025 — Kurv, formerly known as Electronic Merchant Systems, announced today that industry veteran Nick Bencivenga has joined the organization as its new VP of Sales and that Jesse Spears has been promoted to VP of Strategic Partnerships. These personnel moves further strengthen its leadership team following Kurv’s transformative rebrand last November.

Nick Bencivenga, VP of Sales With a robust background in business analytics, sales, and operational execution, Bencivenga brings his deep expertise in the payments industry to Kurv. A graduate of Virginia Tech, he most recently served as Vice President of Sales at Paysafe and was formerly the Chief Operating Officer at Dharma Merchant Services. In his role, Bencivenga will be tasked to expand Kurv’s inside sales channels and help accelerate the division’s growth.

Jesse Spears, VP of Strategic Partnerships Spears has over 10 years of experience in fintech, SaaS, and embedded payments. His expertise in helping software companies monetize payments and being a solution-driven leader will play a large part in Kurv’s continued growth. His dynamic career spans sales and leadership roles across multiple start-ups and growth-stage companies, where he has expanded new verticals, led go-to-market strategies, and built full-cycle sales teams from the ground up. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Spears will lead the company’s integrated payments group.
