Coda Announces New Leadership Team for Its Next Chapter of Growth

SINGAPORE, 6 December 2025 - Coda announced its new executive leadership team and board composition, marking an important milestone following the acquisition of Recharge, Europe’s leading prepaid payments platform. The combined company now operates under the Coda brand, bringing together a unified set of capabilities across payments, consumer storefronts and digital content monetization and distribution. Recharge’s established consumer-facing brands, including Recharge.com and Startselect, as well as the digital rewards platform, Giftcloud, will continue to operate as part of Coda’s global portfolio.

This announcement reflects Coda’s vision to power the future of commerce by connecting payments, people, and digital products. With one leadership team and a shared ambition, Coda is focused on delivering best-in-class infrastructure that drives how digital products are discovered, distributed, and paid for around the world.

With Coda’s solutions, publishers and brands reach more customers and grow revenue across markets. Consumers gain fast, secure access to digital content through trusted payments and localised experiences. Together, the B2B and B2C capabilities form a single growth engine that delivers reach, loyalty, and long-term value.

Shane Happach continues as Chief Executive Officer, leading the combined organisation. The executive team includes Fabian Spaargaren, EVP B2C, who previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Recharge, and Martine Tiemersma, Chief Operating Officer, who joins from her role as Recharge’s COO. They are joined by Zac Liew, Chief Commercial Officer B2B; Mike Feldkamp, Chief Technology Officer; Abhi Sharma, Chief Financial Officer; Linda Lee, SVP People; and Liz Adam, VP Corporate Affairs. Together, the team brings deep experience across payments, consumer platforms, technology, commercial strategy, and global operations.

Coda has also updated its board of directors. Michael Kent has been appointed Chairman, following his previous role as Chairman of Recharge’s board. Günther Vogelpoel, outgoing CEO of Recharge, will transition out of his management role and join the board as a non-executive director at the end of the year. The board continues to include representatives from Apis Partners, GIC, Insight Partners, and Smash Capital.

Commenting on the announcement, Shane Happach, CEO of Coda, said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for Coda. Bringing our teams and capabilities together gives us a stronger foundation and a wider horizon. We now operate with more scale, deeper expertise, and a shared focus on powering the future of digital commerce. Our mission has always been to make digital products easy to access, safe to buy, and rewarding to sell. Today, we accelerate that goal with an even sharper focus. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved across the business and confident we have the right leadership and people to take Coda to the next level.”

Michael Kent, Chairman of the Board, added: “I have worked closely with Recharge through a period of strong growth, and joining Coda as Chairman creates a clear line of continuity as we move forward as one company. Coda is now the home for the combined strengths of both businesses. The unified platform, capabilities, and leadership team give the company everything it needs to shape the future of digital commerce. I am proud to support Coda in this next phase of growth.”

With new leadership in place, Coda moves forward with a focused mission: to make digital commerce open, trusted, and accessible for people everywhere. The company continues to expand its reach and strengthen the engine that powers how digital content is bought, sold, and experienced across the world.
