IO, Argentine fintech Chamber partner to accelerate blockchain adoption in Argentina

Tuesday, November 11, 2025 — 17:43:31 (UTC)

Buenos Aires, Argentina, November 11th, 2025: Input Output (IO), the blockchain infrastructure and research engineering firm behind Cardano, today announced a strategic partnership with the Argentine Fintech Chamber (Cámara Argentina Fintech). Through this collaboration, IO’s Buenos Aires office will serve as subject matter experts on blockchain for Chamber members as well as for government and enterprise initiatives led by the Chamber.

Since opening an office in Buenos Aires earlier this year, IO has welcomed more than 1,000 visitors to its hub, from banks and public companies to exchanges and developer groups, and is expanding as a regional center for long-term partnerships.

In this strategic partnership, IO will provide technical guidance, education, and advisory support on topics spanning privacy-preserving architectures, compliance-ready blockchain deployment, tokenisation, digital identity, and public–private pilots. It will also continue to help support Argentina’s booming fintech and crypto sectors.

Argentina has witnessed a massive transformation in its banking sector, driven by digitalization, fintech innovation, and regulatory changes. Its digital economy has seen steady growth, fueled by a tech-savvy population and a robust entrepreneurial spirit, particularly in Buenos Aires, often referred to as the "Silicon Valley of South America." Twelve Argentine technology companies have achieved "unicorn" status, valued at over $1 billion. The nation has also become one of the biggest users of cryptocurrencies in the world, eclipsing Brazil this year as the biggest nation of users in Latin America.

Charles Hoskinson, Founder of Cardano and CEO of Input Output, said: “Argentina is one of the world’s most dynamic fintech markets. By combining the Chamber’s convening power with IO’s research and engineering, we can help banks, fintechs and public institutions deploy privacy-first, scalable blockchain solutions that deliver real value to citizens and businesses.”
