PayRetailers launches new AI platform, EON, to enhance merchant experience
Monday, October 20, 2025 — 16:14:11 (UTC)
London, 20 October 2025: PayRetailers today announces the launch of EON, its in-house enterprise AI platform designed for the payments sector. EON combines advanced AI capabilities with integrated tools and PayRetailers’ own knowledge of payment processing to enhance both internal operations and customer services.
For merchants, EON is integrated directly into the existing Merchant Portal. It enables natural language searches across transactions, on-demand customised reporting, adaptive dashboards and proactive support through automated ticket creation and preliminary diagnostics. These features are intended to make complex information easier to access and reduce the time it takes for merchants to obtain insights or resolve issues.
Internally, EON is being applied to areas such as ticket management and cross-department workflows. It can automatically triage, categorise and route queries, resolve common issues without human intervention, and transfer information between teams. This reduces response times, avoids duplication of work and allows staff to focus on higher-value activities.
EON has been developed fully in-house by PayRetailers’ technology teams. The platform has been built with security and compliance at its core: data remains within the PayRetailers ecosystem, is not shared with external models, and is subject to the same standards that already underpin the company’s PSP platform, including PCI-DSS and GDPR compliance. By developing EON internally, PayRetailers maintains full control over its design and roadmap, and ensures that it is integrated directly with existing systems and processes.
Tristán Torres Velat, Chief Commercial Officer at PayRetailers, said: “EON represents an important step in how we and our merchants interact with payments. For merchants, it removes barriers that often make payments data difficult to use in practice. A simple natural language query can now provide detailed insights, reports or diagnostics without extra training or cost. For our internal teams, it reduces silos, speeds up processes, and allows them to focus on higher-value work that benefits our customers. AI is not something for the future - it is shaping the way payments work today.”
Daniel Niezgoda, Chief Technology Officer at PayRetailers, added: “With EON, we have built capabilities that will support merchants now and for years to come. Developed fully in-house, EON draws on our experience in the payments industry. We have designed a solution from the inside out – created for the industry by the industry – with maximum data security and compliance at its core. No data leaves the PayRetailers environment, and no data is used to train external models. This gives customers confidence they can take seamlessly integrate and then maximise the potential of AI without compromising privacy, while ensuring the technology is aligned with real merchant needs.”
The initial launch will be with a selected group of merchants through the Merchant Portal, with no additional cost for core functionalities. Access and features will expand gradually, based on user feedback and performance.
