October 9, 2025 (Plano, Texas) – Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALKT) (“Alkami”), a digital sales and service platform provider for financial institutions in the U.S., today announced the winners of its annual Hackathon, where Alkamists, customers, and partners team up to push the boundaries of digital banking innovation. The Hackathon is an intensive competition where teams rapidly develop innovative solutions to a challenge, improve existing processes, or align with a set theme. Typically lasting around 24 hours, the event culminates in a presentation showcasing the team’s final project.

This year’s winners embody the collaborative spirit Alkami is known for, bringing forward-thinking ideas and creative solutions to life. Notable awards included:

Fusion Award: Honors the team that has the most diverse collaboration to deliver amplified impact.

Winner: The “Risk Dashboard” team was recognized for bringing together Alkamists, clients, and a systems integrator to deliver an intuitive dashboard with real-time risk scores to strengthen fraud posture.

UX Delight Award: Celebrates the solution that delivers a seamless, engaging, and intuitive user experience, turning user interactions into moments of joy through thoughtful design, effortless navigation, and genuine end-user satisfaction.

Winner: The “Goal Chatbot” team built an AI-powered financial chatbot integrated directly into mobile banking, giving users personalized guidance to reach their biggest life goals.

Fan Favorite Award: Selected by live audience or participant vote, this award goes to the standout solution that captured the most enthusiasm, curiosity, and crowd support.

Winner: The “Vault Reimagined” team, chosen by live audience voting, reimagined Alkami’s iconic office vault as a digital experience, celebrating Alkami’s culture and reinforcing that the most valuable part of Alkami is its clients and employees.

TechFin Award: Recognizes the solution that best embodies our “Building Beyond Limits” theme by advancing the TechFin pillars: reliability, quality, efficiency, performance, and scalability.

Winner: The “Onboarding Engagement Helpers” team introduced an interactive new-user tour paired with an achievement system that motivates exploration and learning within the online banking platform.

The winners of the TechFin Award built an Onboarding Engagement Helper: an interactive new‑user tour that guides exploration and accelerates adoption within digital banking. One of the team members, Austin Wellner, software developer at TTCU Federal Credit Union, is a returning participant who attended the Hackathon at Alkami Co:lab 2024. Since his first Hackathon experience, he shared, “Alkami has proven they listen to feedback. The shift to developer-focused Alkami-assisted projects was a clear signal that Alkami is viewing the Hackathon with a developer-first mentality.”

The Alkami Hackathon provides participants with opportunities to grow their skills and collaborate with peers. As Wellner continues, it is valuable “for growing Alkami development skills, as well as connecting with individuals from Alkami and other client developers. I’ve picked up tricks from other developers on some best practice principles and learned how to iterate faster.”

“This Hackathon is a cornerstone of Alkami’s innovative TechFin culture and AI-driven future,” said Deep Varma, chief technology officer at Alkami. “It showcases the creativity and collaboration that fuel our ecosystem, from leveraging AI in risk management and user experience to strengthening the culture that connects us.

The Hackathon reflects Alkami’s commitment to driving the future of digital banking with openness, extensibility, and partnership. To learn more about Alkami’s Hackathon and view all 2025 winners, visit here.
