ParaScript debuts embedded signature verification for secure check processing

Thursday, September 04, 2025 — 16:38:33 (UTC)

Boulder, Colo., Sept. 4, 2025— ParaScript, an AI-powered document processing company, today launched the industry’s first embedded signature verification solution that securely places a customer’s verified signature on each check in a protected, hidden format. The patented technology enables instant, on-check signature verification at presentment, enabling financial institutions to intercept fraud before losses occur across ATMs, teller lines, kiosks, RDC, and high-speed processing. Traditionally, financial institutions have relied on archived data like signature cards or previously processed documents to verify signatures on checks. ParaScript’s new solution will help financial institutions with faster verification, reduced processing delays, improved fraud detection accuracy and minimized reliance on external databases, all of which strengthen trust and protect customers from fraudulent activity.

The solution securely embeds a customer’s verified signature in an encrypted, invisible format onto every check at the time of checkbook issuance, ensuring a secure reference is always available. When a check is processed, the embedded signature is automatically extracted and decoded by verification software, enabling instant comparison with the signature written on the document. The system analyzes handwritten portions using advanced AI models to evaluate the probability that a signature matches the embedded reference, and it flags any discrepancies for review. Because the data is embedded and invisible, it cannot be copied, altered or exploited by fraudsters.

“Fraud schemes are becoming more complex, and financial institutions need tools that provide both security and efficiency,” said Emiliano Giacchetti, CEO of ParaScript. “Our embedded signature verification solution gives financial institutions a secure, real-time method to confirm signatures, protecting clients while enabling smoother, more confident check processing.”

The embedded signature verification capability will be available as an add-on module within SignatureXpert.AI®, ParaScript’s signature forgery detection software. The product is ready for immediate implementation by financial institutions.
