Munich, Germany, July 24, 2025—Hawk, the leading provider of AI-powered fraud prevention, anti-money laundering (AML), and screening solutions, today announces the appointment of Hrishi Talwar as Vice President of Product, Fraud. Talwar will oversee strategy for Hawk’s fraud prevention solutions as the company accelerates its mission to redefine how AI is applied to combat financial crime.
Talwar brings nearly 30 years of product experience across financial services and risk management, leading in-house teams and advising a wide range of customers including both mid-sized firms and large-scale enterprises on fraud strategy and protection. Prior to joining Hawk, he held senior product leadership roles at Equifax, Fiserv, and Vesta, where he helped define product strategy across fraud, compliance, payments, and analytics — enabling institutions to stay ahead of evolving threats.
Commenting on his new role, Hrishi Talwar, VP of Product, Fraud, said: “Fraud prevention is at a major inflection point. Financial institutions are under increasing pressure to respond to threats in real time, but many are constrained by outdated systems and fragmented tools. I’ve been really impressed by how Hawk is deploying AI to fundamentally redefine how we tackle financial crime with solutions that meet the needs of institutions of all sizes. I’m excited to be joining the team and driving the next phase of innovation in fraud prevention.”
In this role, Talwar will oversee strategy and development of Hawk’s fraud prevention product suite. This will include the roll-out of solutions leveraging large transaction models (LTMs) and agentic AI, as well as driving further convergence of fraud and AML (FRAML) to help institutions respond to financial crime with greater speed, precision and operational efficiency.
Talwar’s appointment builds on growing momentum in Hawk’s fraud capabilities. Hawk was recently recognized as a Category Leader by Chartis Research in the 2025 Enterprise and Payment Fraud Report. Hawk’s latest fraud innovation, Fraud Day One Defense Models, was released in June and enables banks to deploy tailored AI fraud detection models quickly for greater immediate impact. Wolfgang Berner, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder at Hawk, added: “Hrishi’s arrival marks the next leap forward in our mission to change how financial institutions can tackle the enormous problem of fraud. His deep product expertise and success at scale will sharpen our platform’s intelligence and speed, enable our customers to stay ahead of ever-evolving threats with maximum efficiency."
Talwar joins Hawk’s U.S. team, which has more than doubled in the past 12 months, underscoring its focus on the region as a part of Hawk’s overall strategic roadmap.
