FPC announces 2025 Board of Directors

Thursday, June 26, 2025 — 21:49:34 (UTC)

June 24, 2025 – The U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC), a membership organization devoted to advancing safe, easy-to-use faster payments in the United States, today announced the results of its 2025 Board of Directors election. This annual process brings together diverse perspectives from across the payments landscape to support inclusive, collaborative leadership that reflects the priorities of the broader industry.

The FPC Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction, fostering cross-industry engagement, and upholding the FPC’s mission to enable safe, secure, and ubiquitous faster payments for all.

Effective July 1, 2025, a new group of leaders will begin their terms on the FPC Board. This includes five newly elected Directors, one re-elected Director, one new Director elected through a special election to serve a one-year term, and two returning Directors serving one-year At-Large terms.

“It has been an honor to serve as Chair of the FPC Board during such a critical time for faster payments adoption,” said Carl Slabicki, FPC Board Chairperson. “I’m incredibly grateful to our outgoing Board members, Michael Bilski, Sofia Freyder, Steve Mott, Miriam Sheril, and Perry Starr, for their leadership and commitment to the FPC’s mission. As we welcome new Directors, I’m excited for the continued momentum they will help drive as the FPC charts its next chapter.”

The six new Directors elected to the FPC Board are:

· Tony Cook, EVP, Operations, FirstBank · John Drechny, CEO, Merchant Advisory Group · Jim Filice, VP and Head of Real-Time Money Movement, North America, Visa, Inc. · Sri Iyer, VP, Product, Payments, Cross River · Jessica Johnson, SVP, Director of Bank Operations, First National Bankers Bank · Craig Ramsey, Head of Account-to-Account Payments, ACI Worldwide

The three returning Directors re-elected to new terms are:

· Scott Anchin, SVP, Strategic Initiatives and Policy, Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) · Sarah Arnio, Director, Emerging Payments, Walmart · Elspeth Bloodgood, Technical Product Manager, Senior Advisory, Jack Henry

“The FPC continues to evolve and grow, thanks in large part to the leadership and vision of our Board,” said Reed Luhtanen, FPC Executive Director and CEO. “We deeply appreciate Carl Slabicki’s leadership and service as Chair during a time of remarkable progress for the organization. With our newly elected Board members joining, we look forward to the innovative ideas and energy they will bring to drive the FPC’s work ahead. I also encourage members who are interested in helping to shape the FPC’s direction in the future to consider seeking a seat on the Board of Directors.”
