BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InvoiceCloud, a leader in digital bill payment services, believes in creating access to digital payments for everyone – from those paying by paper check to the unbanked, non-English speakers, and, in this case, Boston’s older adult community. In support of this mission, InvoiceCloud partnered with Central Boston Elder Services (CBES), a nonprofit providing supportive services and programs to older adults and disabled individuals, to support its Computer Lab program. Through 12-week sessions, participants gain hands-on experience navigating iPads and everyday technology while building confidence with tools like Wi-Fi, Zoom, email, and safe internet browsing.

Millions of elderly Americans fall victim to some type of financial fraud or scheme each year. In response, the CBES Computer Lab offers a curriculum focused on learning internet basics, web browsing, email, app usage, and general internet safety. To date, InvoiceCloud employees have volunteered 80 hours to help more than 40 local seniors grow their technology skillsets through the program.

“We want to help seniors feel more comfortable using the technology that’s part of everyday life,” said Kevin O’Brien, CEO at InvoiceCloud. “It starts with small wins and builds from there. As a Boston-based company, we’re proud to support programs like CBES that are strengthening digital confidence in our community.”

InvoiceCloud employees volunteer at the CBES Computer Lab twice a week for 10- to 12-week sessions, and company leadership participates in CBES’ annual fundraising events. In 2025, 69 older adults graduated from the CBES Computer Lab program. In 2026, CBES anticipates that between 68 and 70 participants will successfully complete the program, reflecting continued demand for digital literacy support in the community.

“Digital access is essential to independence and security,” said Sylvia L. Exantus, CEO at Central Boston Elder Services. “By investing in digital literacy for older adults and people with disabilities, we are helping ensure they can access healthcare, manage finances safely, and remain connected to their communities.”

“Our team has found great value and joy in partnering with CBES and spending time in our community helping others gain the skills they need to operate in a digital-first world,” said Katie Johnson, VP, Customer Experience at InvoiceCloud. “As InvoiceCloud continues to grow, we hope to broaden our impact by supporting similar organizations in communities across the country.”
