Former Revolut exec Renuka Rawlins now Yaspa's Head of Policy and Public Affairs

Tuesday, August 26, 2025 — 16:12:04 (UTC)

(London, 26th August 2025) Yaspa, a hyper-growth UK fintech specialising in payments and identity, has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of Renuka Rawlins as Head of Policy and Public Affairs.

Rawlins joins from Revolut, where she served as a Government Affairs and Policy Manager. Renuka will lead the Policy and Public Affairs team from Yaspa’s head office in London.

Rawlins will continue to grow Yaspa’s relationships with regulators in the UK, EU, and globally. She will also be expected to shape policy and foster collaboration with industry and policymakers as Yaspa seeks to expand its presence within the payments industry and showcase its applicability in sectors such as iGaming.

Yaspa leverages open banking technology and AI to help regulated businesses gain deeper customer insights and improve cashflow via its proprietary real-time payments solution, Intelligent Payments. Its products are particularly suited to online gambling companies, which are able to use the technology to meet complex compliance requirements, facilitate responsible gambling best practice and optimise the payments experience for players.

Yaspa, which last month announced an investment of $12m led by Discerning Capital, serves partners in the UK and Europe and recently expanded its domestic presence with a new tech hub in Leeds, which will serve as an engine room for global growth.

The business has also successfully incorporated a US entity in Atlanta, Georgia, having cut the ribbon on a brand new office opening in the Peach State in early August.

Yaspa is led by CEO James Neville, who co-founded the company in 2017 having previously served as CTO at Worldpay. The company has grown from 15 people to 70 over the past 18 months.
