DECTA, SAPI partner to bring payment-linked financing to UK SMEs

DECTA and SAPI Partner to Bring Payment-Linked Financing to UK SMEs

London, UK – 23 September 2026 – DECTA, a global payment technology provider, has partnered with SAPI, the payment-linked financing provider, to give UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) rapid access to growth capital through a new product called DECTA Capital. UK SMEs generate more than half of the country’s private sector turnover, yet rising costs and tighter lending criteria continue to lock many of them out of the flexible working capital they need to grow.

Through the partnership, DECTA’s merchants can access funding directly inside their existing payment experience, without the document-heavy, slow-moving processes traditional lenders require. Underwriting, servicing and compliance are all handled by SAPI.

DECTA has long seen the potential of embedded finance to deliver real value to its customers. By integrating SAPI’s capital products directly into the user experience, DECTA can offer merchants a more seamless, accessible and efficient route to funding alongside the payment services they already use.

The offering is built to help SMEs unlock working capital without collateral or credit score hurdles, with offers typically available within 24 hours. Rather than a fixed monthly repayment, businesses repay as a small, pre-agreed share of their card sales, so a slower week means a smaller payment, and repayments stay aligned with how the business is actually trading.

SAPI provides the payment-linked financing infrastructure that plugs directly into payment ecosystems, enabling partners like DECTA to offer capital products at scale without having to build underwriting, servicing or collections operations in-house.

Scott Dawson, CEO at DECTA, said: “Access to capital remains one of the biggest barriers facing growing businesses, so it’s imperative we do what we can to buck this trend. There’s no reason they should be held back by traditional rules and constraints. Partnering with SAPI means we can offer our customers a faster, more flexible funding experience directly. This means they’ll have one less thing to worry about and can instead focus on what matters for their business.”

Mai Le, CEO at SAPI, commented: “SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy, but too many — particularly first-time founders and immigrant- and woman-owned businesses — are still locked out of working capital when they need it most. Our payment-linked model removes that friction: businesses get an offer in around 24 hours and repay as they earn. Partnering with DECTA lets us put that capital directly into the hands of the merchants they already serve.”

About SAPI

SAPI is a payment-linked financing provider that builds credit products for payment companies, marketplaces and other business platforms. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in London with a second office in Hanoi, SAPI has advanced more than £50 million to small businesses across the UK, EU and US — 90% of which are immigrant- or woman-owned. SAPI partners with payment service providers, marketplaces, introducers and fintechs to embed capital directly into the merchant experience, handling underwriting, servicing and collections so partners don’t have to.
