Mews POS now live in North America, connecting front desk and F&B on one operating system

Hotels across the US and Canada can now run their entire property without switching systems - from check-in to bar tab

NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Mews, the operating system for hospitality, today announced the launch of Mews POS in the United States and Canada. North American hotels can now run their property management, food and beverage operations and payments on one system - every order, charge and guest interaction connects automatically.

Introduced in 2024, Mews POS is already live in more than 20 countries across Europe and APAC. The North America launch supports Mews' broader strategy to give hoteliers one system that covers the full scope of hotel operations, rather than a collection of disconnected tools.

Most POS systems on the market were built for stand-alone, full-service restaurant operations. For most hotels running F&B, that means paying for complexity they don't need. The consequences go beyond cost: Revenue is lost through manual posting errors, missed checkouts, and API gaps. Staff spend two hours a day reconciling POS, PMS and accounting systems manually. Meiser Hotels in Germany cut that to zero – saving two hours daily per property through automated payment reconciliation. At checkout, guests face two separate bills, while F&B staff have no visibility into who they are serving. Every outlet feels like a different hotel. Mews POS was designed to solve that.

Mews POS is purpose-built for the full range of hotel F&B operations: restaurants, counter service, hotel bars, grab-and-go retail, breakfast service and more.

Because Mews POS runs on the same system as property management and payments, the connection between front desk and F&B is seamless. Guest profiles surface directly in the POS, so staff know who they are serving before they take an order. F&B charges post directly to a guest's bill. Receipts are accessible within the PMS via URL, removing the need for printed copies. Reconciliation happens automatically, with no manual matching at the end of the shift or separate reporting to consolidate.

Vanessa Mowell, Director of Operations at Shelter Social Club said: "We were previously running F&B and retail on completely separate systems - paper-based tip tracking, no room charging after checkout. Mews POS brought everything together across our lobby shop, bar, and in-room amenities. The reporting is clean for both sales data and Mews billing, and it's changed everything for front of house and Accounting alike."

"Hotels shouldn't need a separate system for every part of their operation," added Richard Valtr, Founder of Mews. "Mews POS removes the headaches that come with standalone systems by connecting every order, every guest interaction and every payment in one place, from the front desk to the bar tab, with no manual reconciliation at the end of the shift.
