Paystand Introduces General Availability of Its Agentic Finance Suite Built on Programmable Money

On the Heels of Labor Day, a New AI Suite of “Digital Employees” Combines Reporting, Spend and Collections Agents with Paystand’s USDb Stablecoin and Zero-Fee B2B Payment Network

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., September 8, 2026 — As the country celebrates Labor Day, new digital labor is proving effective at simplifying processes and delivering efficiencies. To that end, Paystand today introduces the general availability of its agentic finance suite for the $100 trillion B2B economy, bringing AI agents into accounts receivable, spend management and reporting on its digital, zero-fee B2B payment network. The suite combines Agents with its AI orchestration layer, USDb business-grade stablecoin and native ERP integrations so that they can analyze financial activity, make decisions and carry out authorized actions within one connected system.

Paystand describes its agents as digital employees because they are assigned ongoing responsibilities and measured against financial outcomes rather than waiting for individual prompts. They run on the company's programmable network, hold real jobs, and complete them, expanding what a finance team can do. For the CFO, this means cash lands sooner, the books stay current, and the team's time goes to collecting and stewarding cash rather than processing and reconciling it.

Paystand Reporting, Spend and Collection agents take on the manual work finance teams still do: keeping AR analysis and cash forecasts current, screening spend requests against policy before money leaves, and chasing overdue accounts. And because agents run on Paystand's digital payment network, an agent can complete the transaction and post it to the ERP instead of handing a recommendation back to a person.

The Reporting Agent and Spend Agent are available now, with the Collections Agent, now in private beta, scheduled to arrive later this quarter. “This is a growing suite of enterprise-grade digital labor fully on-ramped from Day 1 so finance team members can spend their time focusing on growth,” said Jeremy Almond, Co-founder and CEO of Paystand. “These digital employees aren't AI bolted onto old payment infrastructure. They execute finance operations at internet speed, under the control of finance, because we made money itself programmable.”

Agentic Capabilities on Paystand’s B2B Payment Network

Paystand’s initial agents address three of finance’s most labor-intensive functions:

The Reporting Agent continuously analyzes accounts receivable, prioritizes the accounts most deserving of attention, explains why they matter and keeps cash forecasts current. Its performance is measured by improvements in forecast accuracy and its ability to direct teams toward the accounts with the greatest expected cash impact.

The Spend Agent handles employee spend requests within Slack and Microsoft Teams. It routes requests, applies purchasing and expense policies, captures receipts, codes transactions and posts approved expenses to the ERP. When finance has attached an approval rule to a request, the agent can approve or block it before the purchase occurs. Approved transactions post as native accounts-payable objects—including bills, bill payments and expense reports—rather than generic journal entries. Its performance measures include reducing month-end close time by more than 78% and out-of-policy spending by more than 5%.

The Collections Agent, arriving later this quarter, researches customer payment behavior, prioritizes accounts by expected recovery and drafts personalized outreach. Each communication is prepared for a team member to review before it is sent. Its performance is measured against reducing days sales outstanding by more than 62%.

Moving from Analysis to Execution

Paystand's agentic suite operates directly on its programmable payment network, where money is internet-native and carries its business context, the invoice it belongs to, the approval behind it, and how it should be recorded.

Programmable money is the connective tissue for the operation. In April, Paystand launched USDb, its digital dollar for business built on Bitcoin infrastructure. Currently, Paystand supports money movement in minutes to more than 190 countries.

Additionally, Paystand's AI orchestration layer turns paper and inbound payments into digital records the agents can act on:

Smart Match AI reads remittance information from PDFs, email attachments and bank files to match ACH transfers, wire payments and partial payments to the correct invoices. Incoming payments are applied without manual re-entry, and deposits reconcile when funds reach the merchant’s bank account.

Smart Check AI allows a payer to photograph a written check with a phone. The check clears as an ACH payment, its payment information is extracted automatically and the transaction posts to the appropriate workflow.

Paystand integrates natively with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics and Acumatica, so agents write into the accounting system directly — posting bills, bill payments and expense reports as native objects rather than generic journal entries. Businesses connect their existing bank accounts, ERP environments and approval processes to the network without replacing their financial infrastructure.

Controls on Agent Actions

Finance teams determine which information an agent can access and which actions it may take. The Spend Agent can approve or block a request only against rules established by finance. The Collections Agent prepares outreach for human review before anything is sent. Agent activity is logged, while resulting payment activity is recorded on Paystand’s blockchain-based network.

“Agentic finance does not mean giving software unlimited authority,” Almond said. “We start with documented work, set the guardrails and give every agent a human owner. Agents take on the repeatable work; people remain responsible for exceptions, judgment and results.”
