Castles Technology brings next-generation unattended payments to NRF Europe

Vélizy-Villacoublay, France – 8 September 2026. Castles Technology, leader in Android payment acceptance solutions, will exhibit at NRF Europe 2026, taking place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 15–17 September, where the company will showcase its latest unattended payment solutions while demonstrating how its experience in the US market can help European operators navigate a rapidly changing payments landscape.

Europe's unattended payments landscape is changing rapidly as retailers, transport operators, EV charging providers and self-service businesses invest in payment infrastructure that is more flexible, connected and ready for future regulatory requirements. Castles Technology is using NRF Europe to show how its expertise in unattended payment deployments can support that transition, on Stand N046, Hall 4.

Castles Technology will showcase its comprehensive Android-based payment portfolio at NRF Europe, with a particular focus on unattended environments. The company's S1U2 series supports payment acceptance across vending, transport ticketing, parking, EV charging and food service kiosk environments, while visitors will also be able to see the S1F4 Pro and S1F4 Max Duo, showcasing the latest developments in portable and dual-screen payment technology.

Regulatory change is accelerating investment across Europe's unattended payments market. Requirements such as AFIR, the European Accessibility Act and PCI are prompting operators to modernise payment infrastructure across EV charging, transport, vending and self-service environments. For many operators, the question is no longer whether to modernise, but how to build payment infrastructure that will remain fit for purpose over the next decade.

Castles Technology has built significant global expertise in unattended payments, supported by a comprehensive Android-based product portfolio spanning vending, food service, mobility and other self-service environments. The company is a leader in the US unattended payments market and is now focused on bringing that experience and product strength to operators across Europe and other international markets.

New product announcements in the unattended and retail categories are planned ahead of and during the event. Further details will be confirmed in the weeks leading up to NRF Europe.

Jean-Philippe Niedergang, CEO EMEA, Pacific and LATAM at Castles Technology, said: "The European unattended payments market is at an inflection point. Operators across every vertical are facing the same question: is the infrastructure they are building today capable of supporting the commerce environments they will need to serve in three or five years' time? Our answer to that question and what we will be demonstrating on stand in Paris is that open, Android-based unattended infrastructure gives operators the flexibility to keep pace with whatever comes next."
