Eve Everitt-Story wins Kixy Card Design competition

Wednesday, March 26, 2025 — 16:34:27 (UTC)

Cape Town, South Africa, March 26, 2025—As part of its community-focused initiatives, financial services platform Kixy has announced Eve Everitt-Story, a student, as the winner of its ‘Kixy Card Design’ competition. The contest encouraged young people across Britain to submit designs for Kixy with the winner receiving a £1,000 prize.

Kixy invited young people across Britain to submit designs for its primary debit card ahead of its launch in 2025. The competition forms part of the company’s mission to establish an inclusive and socially-focused fintech brand within the United Kingdom. In addition to this effort, Kixy saw the initiative as an opportunity to inspire creativity among its future user base, encouraging young people to showcase their artistic talents. Through this initiative, Kixy has reinforced its commitment to promoting financial well-being and fostering stronger social connections within its community.

The design competition ran on the company’s website for a month, as well as Kixy’s social media channels. Alongside this, Kixy’s Marketing Director, Paul Mampilli engaged with UK colleges to encourage students to submit their designs. The company received a number of submissions, which were carefully evaluated by its leadership team to select the most deserving winner. After days of deliberation, Eve Everitt-Story, a student, was announced as the winner. Eve was awarded the £1,000 prize, which was presented to them at Kixy’s headquarters in London.

Commenting on the competition, Dr Amir Zarifnia, Founder and CEO of Kixy, said: “We were delighted by the response to the ‘Kixy Card Design’ competition. As a company, we are dedicated to building a fintech platform that truly values community. It felt only right to offer those who will be using our product the chance to express their creativity and design how our solution could look. While we received many fantastic entries, Eve’s design was the clear standout and a deserving winner of the £1,000 prize.”

The winning design will be considered by Kixy for use on its primary physical debit card, set to launch alongside the platform later this year. The forthcoming app will offer a social-first financial-led solution for both personal and business users, including accounts, payments, transfers and innovative community orientated features designed to enhance connectivity and engagement. Upon launch, the integrated, engaging financial platform will provide an exciting and socially-minded way to manage finances.

The ‘Kixy Card Design’ competition is the latest initiative from a company dedicated to creating a product that not only meets users’ financial needs but also fosters a genuine sense of community. Prior to this announcement, Kixy confirmed an exciting partnership with the British Wrestling Association (BWA), becoming the exclusive financial partner for the organisation’s 70 clubs across the UK. These milestones reinforce Kixy’s reputation as a fintech company committed to social good.
