Unify travel chargeback management

Sabre Direct Pay, the travel payments division of Sabre Corp., launched a new Dispute Resolution Service to simplify and scale chargeback management for travel companies. The service is designed to enable dispute resolution across both issuing and acquiring channels through a single interface and thereby eliminate fragmented workflows and manual processes that have long hampered efficiency.

Developed in partnership with Chargebacks911, the solution enables users to initiate and represent charge disputes without logging into multiple issuer or acquirer systems, and removes repetitive data entry and technical integration barriers, consolidating case handling within Sabre Direct Pay's travel-specific environment.

The unified interface is also designed to improve visibility into dispute progress, documentation and resolution outcomes to help travel providers respond more effectively to post-transactional fraud.

"The travel industry's lack of standardization in dispute handling has long undermined operational efficiency," said Patricio Boccardo, managing director of Sabre Direct Pay. "Our platform automates dispute creation, aligns submissions with issuer-specific rules, and routes everything through one interface. Providers can consolidate issuing and acquiring workflows, gain full visibility, and achieve measurable recovery outcomes."

Chargebacks911 serves as the dispute resolution engine, supplying infrastructure, issuer connectivity and expertise to manage chargebacks at scale. All interactions occur through the Sabre Direct Pay interface, ensuring a unified experience for payments and disputes.

"The dispute process in travel is disproportionately complex," added Monica Eaton, CEO of Chargebacks911. "Most providers still rely on siloed portals and manual uploads. Our platform automates issuer requirements, tracks progress in real time, and applies tailored evidence strategies. Delivered through Sabre Direct Pay, it becomes an integrated resolution system that protects revenue and improves efficiency."

Sabre Direct Pay said the launch complements its growing portfolio of payment partnerships—ranging from Pay by Bank with Trustly in Europe and instant cross-border payouts via TerraPay, to airline payment orchestration through CellPoint Digital and large-scale virtual card issuance with Revolut, Sunrate and WEX. By integrating chargeback resolution, Sabre added, it strengthens its position as a one-stop payments and reconciliation hub for the global travel ecosystem.
