Modernize B2B payments with AI-driven vendor management

Transcard enhanced its SMART Exchange vendor network management solution with new generative and agentic AI capabilities, delivering payments professionals a next-generation tool to modernize B2B payment interactions. According to Transcard, the upgraded SMART Exchange transforms how buyers and suppliers onboard, interact and manage payments, streamlining operations while reducing costs and manual workloads.
"I'm excited about the modern enhancements and agentic AI capabilities we are adding to SMART Exchange," said Greg Bloh, CEO of Transcard. "The new streamlined onboarding process and dedicated portals are set to revolutionize how businesses interact, pay, and manage their vendors."
The AI-powered solution replaces traditional call centers and manual onboarding, enabling automated onboarding and Know Your Business (KYB) processes at scale—whether onboarding 100 or 100,000 vendors. Buyers benefit from faster vendor enablement, seamless ERP integration for real-time data synchronization and simplified maintenance of vendor information and payment instructions, Transcard stated.
Suppliers gain a self-service portal that allows them to validate business information, choose payment preferences and manage historical transactions—all while gaining quicker access to payments. SMART Exchange also provides suppliers with early financing options to improve cash flow.
Transcard noted that a key advantage for payments professionals is the platform's embedded AI, which offers proactive recommendations and insights to optimize cash flow, automate manual tasks, and reduce onboarding and maintenance efforts. By streamlining vendor management, the company added, SMART Exchange enables businesses to achieve operational efficiencies while delivering a superior payment experience.
SMART Exchange is part of Transcard's SMART Suite, a family of embedded payment solutions that integrate with ERP systems and connect to existing bank accounts to orchestrate payments of all types, including disbursements, receivables, cross-border payments and supply chain financing.
Transcard believes that with SMART Exchange, payments companies gain a modern, scalable solution that reduces manual intervention, improves transparency, and enhances collaboration between buyers and suppliers. The platform's AI-driven capabilities position it as a valuable tool for streamlining financial operations and improving vendor and customer experiences, the company added.
