Munich, 5 June 2023 – Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) has expanded its role in the Mastercard Engage network and has become a Digital First integrator to enable seamless and secure Digital First payment solutions.
Digital First is an important trend in the payment ecosystem: consumers expect integrated digital and physical experiences and instant gratification, such as payment cards that are immediately available on a mobile phone or online while the physical card is being prepared. G+D has expanded its role in the Mastercard Engage network and has become a Digital First integrator. G+D can provide Mastercard customers with solutions that meet the growing demand for secure and seamless digital payment services such as digital debit or credit card issuance, or mobile and digital payments.
As a Digital First system integrator, G+D is able to cover all aspects of digital payment processes, from applying for a payment card, through usage and card management, to additional personalized services. This results in a number of advantages for banks:
To this end, G+D's Convego solution package provides digital services such as debit or credit card issuance, mobile payment, and smart services such as instant issuance or issuance APIs. Together with strategic partner Netcetera, G+D provides digital wallet and 3DS solutions for the payment ecosystem.
"Becoming a Digital First integrator in the Mastercard Engage network is an important milestone for G+D," says Jukka Yliuntinen, Head of Digital Payment Solutions at G+D. "It is a proper seal of approval and underscores G+D's leadership in enabling seamless digital payment experiences that foster customer loyalty and lead to greater profitability for banks."
