Mobile Payments Conference honors MagicCube for ingenuity in fintech

Thursday, July 11, 2019 — 11:46:31 (EDT)

PHOENIX AND CHICAGO (PRWEB) JULY 11, 2019

The producers of the Mobile Payments Conference announced today that Sam Shawki and Nancy Zayed, founders of MagicCube, the creator of the world’s only Software Trusted Execution Environment platform, will be the first-ever recipients of the MPC Visionary Award. The MPC Visionary Award was founded to honor “game-changers” that push the payments industry forward. It will be presented to MagicCube by The Green Sheet’s Dale Laszig, at MPC19, August 26, at the Swissôtel Chicago, in recognition of MagicCube’s hardware-free security platform, which has established an entirely new industry category, representing a new era in payments security.

“We’re excited to recognize MagicCube as the inaugural winner of the MPC Visionary Award,” said MPC Executive Director Marla Ellerman. “MagicCube literally has created a new payment security category. Its practical application for merchants is immediate and can only be described as a ‘game-changer.’”

“Our EMV-certified platform is disrupting the world of traditional payment acceptance devices,” said MagicCube CEO and Co-founder Sam Shawki. “Our technology enables payments to be proliferated to almost any device that is already in the retail system. Dedicated acceptance devices—which are typically expensive and hard to integrate—will no longer be needed."

MagicCube CTO and Co-founder Nancy Zayed said, “We are delighted to be recognized for creating a whole new category in an industry where standards have been dominated by hardware.” She added, “We are proud to lead a category that will shift the security of mobile and IoT devices into a whole new paradigm we like to call Software Defined Trust (SDT).”
