FundThrough hires Kasra Zokaei as VP of Engineering

Friday, May 24, 2019 — 13:55:50 (EDT)

TORONTO (PRWEB) MAY 24, 2019

FundThrough, the leading online invoice financing platform for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) throughout North America, has named Kasra Zokaei as its new Vice President of Engineering. Zokaei is tasked with building and refining FundThrough’s technology platform and team. These duties come in addition to accelerating growth for the company that has become an innovator in the online invoice factoring industry.

Zokaei spent almost half of his career building software and the other half managing software teams. This experience ranged from a tech startup to the Deloitte consulting firm to TorStar, where he served as director of development for the publisher of the Toronto Star newspaper, to Rogers Communications, the Toronto-based telco giant where Zokaei was director of development for nearly four years.

He recently joined the team at FundThrough, with whom Zokaei previously enjoyed a consulting relationship. He helped the company create the online architecture to support a number of important new products as FundThrough expanded quickly in the digital invoice-financing space.

Zokaei is now looking forward to helping FundThrough get to the next level of technological capability and developing the company’s Product and Engineering team to support the long-term expansion that CEO Steven Uster expects to accomplish.

“We’re going to be building out the software teams, as well as our product road map, to help unlock further growth,” says Zokaei. “Our overall goal, as it is for everyone at FundThrough, is to help small businesses thrive. An economy where more small businesses are doing well is a great place to be, and FundThrough is helping make that a bigger reality. Added to that, it’s a wonderful opportunity to help build a significant fintech company in Canada.”

Zokaei believes that FundThrough represents “a really great opportunity to create a unified platform that will help solve small businesses’ cash-flow problems.” He adds that, FundThrough already “has a great core team here, and we will be looking to complement and expand the team to accelerate realizing our vision.”

Uster says that FundThrough is happy to have Zokaei on board because he brings a mix of experience, superior technological expertise and a passion for helping build FundThrough into the next great Canadian digital company.

“Kasra is exactly the kind of person FundThrough has sought from the start. We’ve been looking for someone with both the capacity and the drive to make us not only a better company but one that is constantly improving the ways we help our small-business clients grow and expand.”
