NMA brings jobs to Burbank
Burbank, Calif., March 10, 2010 -- National Merchants Association (NMA), a nationwide leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, has recently shifted corporate functions to Burbank while bringing eight reliable new long-term jobs to the community. As well, all NMA executives and the majority of their staff live, shop, and thrive in Burbank. Additional sales force and staff will be hired within the quarter, furthering NMA’s commitment to support the region.
With over 1,600 active merchants processing over $45 million per month, the company has quickly become one of the fastest growing merchant acquirers in the industry. Founded in 2004 with only $14,000, NMA has developed exponentially and fostered an explosive 2280% growth.
National Merchants Association not only provides businesses the crucial ability to accept credit cards, but also coordinates directly with the members of their association to set up new accounts or streamline existing ones in a way that accommodates their particular type of business. They offer savings by simply taking the time to learn more about an organization and restructuring their improperly appointed account.
National Merchants Association is a female-managed corporation, overseen by CEO, Heather Petersen. A young entrepreneur herself, Petersen has been in the bankcard industry since 2003 and has topped the charts as a sales agent, sales manager, and leader of NMA. A cum laude graduate of “The Harvard of the Midwest,” Miami University of Ohio, she is also a member of the National Organization of Professional Women and has earned numerous other accolades as an advocate to business owners throughout the United States.
