MPI and Vend POS EMV Live!

Mercantile Processing Inc. is excited to announce their integration with Vend POS to offer merchants the protection of accepting EMV chip cards. EMV has been on the tongues of most everyone in the merchant services industry, but seldom know the challenges that surround actually accepting the chip cards.

Mercantile Processing Inc. (MPI) has completed a PCI certified method for accepting chip (EMV), ApplePay and magnetic strip cards using the Vend POS system. MPI has integrated a Pax S300 terminal to prompt for the appropriate dollar amount and feed back an approval response to Vends payment section. This integration takes the payment and card information out of scope for the Vend system making the transaction more secure and uses the S300 encryption which greatly decrease any chances of hacking.
