Somi Data adds online ordering portal

Pasadena, Calif., Aug. 4, 2015 -- Somi Data has recently deployed its first online ordering platform with Loteria Grill, a Mexican specialty restaurant that was eager to upgrade from their previous online ordering system to a new, full featured enterprise system that will support their growth objectives.

Somi Data’s web-based administration system permits Loteria Grill to manage menu items such as their famous Chicharron de Queso, or favorites like their Burrito de Cochinita Pibil. The online administration portal mimics that of a point-of-sale system, with the ability to add items and modifiers, as well as update prices and discontinued items that reflect instantly on the site.

The integration of the online portal with the existing POS system is central to the system’s capabilities; the software routes incoming online orders to the appropriate printers and display screens, making it easy to incorporate the traffic from online orders with the flow of sit-in customers. Programmable features such as the ability to place orders for a future pick-up time, delivery, and group ordering were also utilized at the launch.
