Today marks 15th anniversary for ESIGN Act

WHAT: Today is the 15th anniversary of the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (ESIGN) Act. On June 30, 2000, ESIGN was enacted into law and forever changed how businesses are able to transact.

The Electronic Signature and Records Association (ESRA), which provides a neutral forum for companies across various industries to unite in the promotion of electronic signatures and records, is celebrating this anniversary, and three ESRA board members responsible for advocating ESIGN 15 years ago are available to discuss the monumental decision.

In addition to the history of ESIGN, they can touch on the impact e-signatures have on the world of financial services and the advocacy that continues to promote further adoption within as well as outside of the financial services industry.
