ETA names E-Pay Innovation Award finalists at Transact 15

San Francisco, March 31, 2015 – The E-Pay Innovation Award will be presented by Intuit to the winner today, Tuesday, March 31, at approximately 4:30 p.m. PST on the TRANSACT tradeshow floor in the Payments Next Zone (Exhibit Hall-Lower Level, Moscone South). The Payments Pitch-Off is a shark-tank like competition in which startups demonstrated the latest payments technologies in front of an elite judging panel from the VC world, earlier today. The winning company will receive the E-Pay Innovation Award and a check for $25,000. WHO:

Startups who participated:

1. Allpago – A payment solution provider for global merchants and other payment providers active in Latin America.

2. Bitwage – A new bitcoin-based payroll product that allows American companies to pay employees outside the U.S. in their local currency.

3. eThor – Offers a POS integration platform that provides a 2-way communication system between retail POSs and user devices.

4. Fiverun – A tablet-based solution that enables retail sales associates to provide predictive product advice, create gift registries and checkout customers.

5. InAuth – Offers mobile authentication and anti-fraud solutions for financial institutions and the mobile transaction market.

6. Jory – A mobile point of sale software-as-a-service system for small to medium sized businesses of all kinds.

7. Marqeta – An online-to-offline payments and commerce platform providing enterprises with repeated business and greater customer spend.

8. Pavilion.io – Is currently building a platform for seamless, modern-age business transactions called Gazebo. Gazebo functions as an automated escrow agent, allowing buyers and sellers to transact without trusting each other.

9. PayItSimple – Allows individuals to simply and easily charge any purchase on their existing credit card and pay it back in monthly, no-fee interest free installments.

10. Rippleshot – A provider of technology solutions that helps banks, merchants and processors with quicker and more effective data breach detection.
