Century Business Solutions adds NetSuite integration

Irvine, Calif., Oct. 1, 2014 -- Century Business Solutions, a technology-based merchant services provider, has unveiled its newest enhancement, a full credit card integration to NetSuite. The integration allows businesses to accept electronic payments directly inside NetSuite and also gives access to a host of custom reporting features. Century adds its NetSuite enhancement to a growing list of ERP systems to which it can integrate, like QuickBooks, Sage 50 (Peachtree) payment processing, Sage 100 (MAS 90 & MAS 200), Sage 500 (MAS 500), and Exact Macola. As NetSuite reported a market share growth rate of 41.6% in 2013, almost four times ahead of its closest competitor, the enhancement should bring Century steady growth of its own as its team introduces the product to a growing number of NetSuite clients.

Century sets itself apart from most merchant services providers by offering full accounting system integrations, products that interface directly with ERP systems and aim to save time and cut overall costs. Using a NetSuite credit card integration, clients can accept card payments inside the program at seven different stages in the sales process, as well as instantly issue credits and voids. Century further augments their enhancement by automatically re-qualifying transactions for business-, purchasing-, and government-type credit cards at the lowest possible interchange levels (base costs). As many businesses who use NetSuite primarily sell to other businesses and accept a good deal of these more expensive types of credit cards for payment, NetSuite clients have very much to gain by using Century’s integration—in monetary savings and in time savings.

The NetSuite enhancement functions by passing additional invoice information to Visa, MasterCard, and card-issuing banks—with no additional work on the part of the user. The additional detail lets those entities know the transactions are less likely to be fraudulent, and so rewards merchants with lower base charges.

With the number of mainstream data breaches seemingly at an all-time high, Century has gone to great lengths to ensure that transactions processed inside with the credit card integration NetSuite are completely PCI compliant, employing tokenization to that end. Tokenization in NetSuite converts customer credit card data into bundles of random numbers—tokens—inside Century’s own server, in this case. Users can recall the tokens automatically converting them back into truncated credit card numbers for future use; and, if a hacker ever breached a processor’s server, they wouldn’t find anything useful in the tokens—only strings of meaningless numbers.
