Four CUs choose TMG for prepaid card programs

Des Moines, Iowa, April 5, 2012 -- To attract new members and earn additional income, four credit unions have signed on to begin offering prepaid card programs from The Members Group (TMG) and its sister company Coopera.

Credit unions that will begin offering the prepaid card programs include:

• Cornerstone Credit Union of Des Moines, Iowa, offering ATIRAreload
• First Central Credit Union of Waco, Texas, offering the Coopera Card, ATIRAreload and ATIRAgift cards
• Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union of San Antonio, Texas, offering ATIRAgift
• Veridian Credit Union of Waterloo, Iowa, offering the Coopera Card and ATIRAreload

The Coopera Card, developed by Coopera in partnership TMG, has been designed specifically for the Hispanic community to help ease cardholders into the financial mainstream. The card allows for access to a secure financial management tool and eliminates the need for paying high fees for check-cashing, money order or money transfer services. Simple to open, no credit history or taxpayer identification number is required to become a cardholder.
