Wavestone Announces the Results From Its First International Call for Start-up Projects, Organized in Paris and New-York

Monday, July 15, 2019 — 11:17:22 (EDT)

NEW YORK, July 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- For the very first time, Shake'Up has launched the international version of its yearly call for projects. Overall, the objective Wavestone's start-up accelerator is to get closer to the start-up ecosystem; and by doing so, create value for the firm and its clients.

The international call for projects aims to support companies that seek to boost their international activities. Additionally, these efforts help Wavestone internationalize its businesses.

ForePaaS, the French-based winning start-up that will join Wavestone New-York office

On the Paris side of the call for projects, the purpose was to select a French based start-up seeking to grow in the US, and whose activities aligned with the current initiatives taking place at the Wavestone New-York office. After reviewing more than 40 applications, the company ForePaaS was chosen and will join the NY team this summer. This start-up is a data engineering platform designed to create, deploy and evolve analysis applications and algorithms.

Whispli, the US-based winning start-up that will join Wavestone offices in Paris

On the US side, following the same set-up, Wavestone consultants studied 15 applications of North America based start-ups willing to develop their business in France. A panel of judges chose Whispli, a platform that facilitates safe whistleblowing by ensuring secure, two-way, and anonymous communication between organizations and their employees.

Being selected as the prize-winner, Whispli will be offered free space in Wavestone Paris offices. Additionally, the team will receive coaching that aligns with their development stage and strategic goals. Wavestone experts will share their knowledge and expertise in a wide range of areas involving: commercial strategy, business model, recruitment, cybersecurity, and digital communication.

Last, but not least, Whispli will have the opportunity to connect and interface with Wavestone's clients, allowing them to understand their business model, challenges, and foresee avenues for operational collaboration.

In addition to Whispli, two other firms received prizes in the US leg of the project:

Dispel is a cybersecurity company that specializes in anonymous and encrypted high-speed communication and collaboration systems. In partnership with Paris Region Enterprises and Business France North America, they won three months of Wavestone support for their development in France. Siemplify is a security orchestration and automation platform designed to manage security operations and accelerate incident response. They won a business partnership with Wavestone and a one-month membership at Rise New York, a workspace that supports Barclays' global FinTech community to create the future of financial services. These outcomes are encouraging signs for Shake'Up's growth abroad in the following years.
