Washington, April 23, 2013 ─ The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the trade association of the global electronic payments industry, payments consultancy firm Global Vision Group and payments industry consultant Linda S. Perry today announced the launch of the International Acquiring Forum (IAF), a new educational and networking event that will take place in London from Sept. 17-19, 2013, at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel and Conference Center.
“As the global trade association of the payments industry, ETA constantly innovates to provide new opportunities for our 525 member companies to grow their businesses globally,” said Jason Oxman, CEO of ETA. “We are thrilled to partner on producing this new event, a unique forum to connect with global payments companies looking to explore business opportunities outside the U.S.”
The IAF will bring together experts and industry leaders from around the world to tackle issues of importance to acquirers, banks, ISOs, processors and suppliers. “The International Acquiring Forum will be a valuable opportunity for CEOs from across the electronic payments spectrum to connect with peers and take on the global issues facing our industry,” said Thomas Layman, CEO of Global Vision Group.
Global innovation in the electronic payments industry is evolving extremely rapidly, especially in the areas of mobile and non-traditional payments technologies. The IAF will provide a convenient, two-day setting for discussion, learning and networking. According to Linda S. Perry, former Senior Vice President and Head of Acquiring and Processing at Visa, “the IAF is already shaping up to be a can’t-miss event for those who wish to be connected and relevant in the industry. Early response by speakers and sponsors proves this is the right event at the right time.”
