Identity, mobile cybersecurity for SMB merchants

Sontiq, a digital identity and mobile cybersecurity provider, launched Small Business Suite, a comprehensive security solution designed to help small and midsize business (SMB) owners optimize efficiencies and protect critical infrastructure. Small Business Suite includes best-in-class offerings from EZShield and IdentityForce; the two companies aligned and rebranded as Sontiq in June 2019, company representatives stated.

The parent company name, Sontiq, is derived from the Latin word "sonticus," which means serious or critical, Dabbs noted. Sontiq solutions leverage human expertise and advanced technologies to protect critical aspects of consumer and business identities. The company will continue to evolve and develop EZShield and IdentityForce solution sets in response to an increasingly connected world and ever-changing threat surface, he noted.

Continuous, proactive protection

Built on EZShield's identity theft protection and mobile cybersecurity capabilities, the Small Business Suite can help SMB merchants protect employee and customer data. Having this critical information fall into the wrong hands can be catastrophic to a company's data integrity, business continuity, financial health and reputation, the company stated.

Sontiq stated its Small Business Suite provides essential identity theft protection and mobile cybersecurity services to enable companies to focus more on building capacity, acquiring customers and improving customer lifetime value.

The technology suite includes the following business management security features:

• Real-time credit protections: Business Credit Score, Business Credit Report, and Business Credit Monitoring notify merchants of anomalous events and provide continuous, real-time business credit protection.
• Dark Web monitoring: This service continuously monitors the Dark Web, providing immediate alerts if it detects Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or sensitive business data, such as Employer Identification Number (EIN), Internet domain information, Creditsafe account details, D-U-N-S Number or corporate credit card account numbers.
• Managed remediation: Delivered through EZShield Restoration, this customized remediation program features dedicated resolution experts who provide proactive, white-glove business restoration to reinstate and protect a company's business identity.

The Small Business Suite also includes access to an innovative set of mobile cybersecurity capabilities such as Mobile Attack Control and Mobile Attack View.

• Mobile Defense Suite: Mobile Attack Control is a mobile app that comprehensively scans mobile devices for known and emerging threats, such as rogue apps, spyware, unsecured Wi-Fi connections, and fake or "spoofed" networks. The app alerts employees if their devices have been compromised.
• Mobile Attack View: Mobile Attack View provides an SMB's information technology team with a single-source view of mobile threats from connected devices on the company's network. The ability to detect vulnerabilities in real-time enables IT managers to proactively respond to threats and potentially avoid a security data breach.

The combined capabilities of EZShield and IdentityForce can safeguard entire digital footprints, making individuals and businesses less vulnerable to identity theft and cybercrimes, the company stated.
