To speed merchant transactions and thereby bolster sales, Jumio developed its Netswipe proprietary vision scanning technology for device-specific apps and desktop computer websites in 2010. Now Jumio has brought this technology to mobile websites.

With the release of Netswipe for Mobile Web, Jumio hopes to further enhance the customer experience and increase conversion rates for purchases made using devices connected to mobile websites. "Netswipe was previously available for native apps and desktop websites," the company stated. "Today's release expands Netswipe's availability to mobile websites, allowing customers on all platforms to benefit from a faster, easier way to input their credit card information."
The scanning technology in Netswipe extracts all relevant data from the face of the payment card, including cardholder name, 16-digit card number and expiration date. Once scanning is complete, the cardholder then enters the CVV code from the back of the card to complete the transaction.
